One suite, from the office to the set

Each app does one job well, and they all work on the same production.

Mac

Cinewright Budgeting and Scheduling

The production office. Breakdown, stripboard and budget, linked: move a strip and see what it costs before you let go. Call sheets, people, locations, cost reports and the wrap book.

A real desktop app: dense, fast and keyboard-first, the way production software used to feel.

iPhone · iPad

Cinewright

The set. A viewfinder that frames like over a hundred cinema cameras, the sun’s path in your frame, a slate, script supervising, shot lists, continuity and the reports editorial needs.

Apple Watch

Slate on your wrist

Scene, take, roll and running timecode on the watch, with Marker, Cut and the next take a tap away.

iPad · Free

CW Office

A free iPad companion that opens the productions you make on the Mac: the stripboard, call sheets, budget lines, approvals and the link to set, with Apple Pencil.

Free

Cinewright Reader

Crew get a read-only copy of the schedule and call sheets, see what changed, find their own calls, and send comments back to the office.

No app needed

For everyone else

Call sheets by email or text in each person’s language, web pages that open in any browser, and calls confirmed with a simple reply.

One production file

One file travels through all of them

No server sits in the middle. The production moves between your own devices, through a folder you choose or directly on the set’s network.

  1. Plan on the MacBreak down the script, build the board and the budget.
  2. Share the daySend each shoot day to the phones and iPads, and Reader copies to the crew.
  3. ShootThe viewfinder, slate, Watch and script supervisor log the day as it happens.
  4. Back to the officeProgress, takes and actual times come back into the schedule and the reports.

One production folder on Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive or a network drive (iCloud Drive for all-Apple teams), in an open file format with standard encryption. iPhone, iPad and Mac today; Budgeting and Scheduling for Windows and Cinewright for Android are in development. Several people can edit one production at once (beta). How it works together

Private by design

Built for closed sets and confidential productions

Your script, schedule and budget are made to work on your devices. Nothing leaves them unless you send it.

  • No account, no server, no sign-in. Works offline for as long as you need.
  • No tracking. No analytics and no advertising in the apps.
  • Encrypted on set. The crew show, video village and live progress are encrypted, joined by code, with a lockout after wrong codes.
  • Signed files. A changed or damaged copy is refused.
  • Codenames. A cover name can stand in for your title wherever others might see it.
  • Sealed production folder. It can be encrypted end to end before it reaches your cloud service.
  • Private screens. Budgets and private records are hidden from screen recording and sharing.
  • Locks. Face ID on iPhone and iPad, and password-protected PDFs.

Damon Winters, founder of Cinewright

Who’s building it

Damon Winters

Damon has worked in nearly every department of a film set since 1992. He has acted on Fringe, Psych, Eureka and Rogue, done stunts on Rumble in the Bronx, recorded and mixed sound, and operated Steadicam. He has supervised and managed post-production on features, and wrote, directed, edited and produced Eddie Macken: True Legend. His editing on The Fork was nominated for Best Editing at the Unrestricted View Film Festival.

He is now writing, directing and producing the series The Adversaries and the features Light of Day and Kashmir. On every job, the office and the set used separate tools that didn’t talk to each other, so he built one suite that links them.
