Free film production templates
Paperwork for the shoot, free to download and use on any production: print it, fill it in on screen, or work in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets.
The templates
- Film continuity report template
The paperwork a script supervisor hands in every day, ready to print or fill in: a continuity report per scene and take, the daily report with its production-time log, an editor's log and a lined script key. - Call sheet template
A two-sided film call sheet: everything the day needs on the front, the crew list with each person's call on the back. Print it, fill it in on screen, or keep it in Excel. - Film budget template
A film budget in Excel with the maths done for you: a top sheet, a detailed budget by account, fringes and globals, in a feature version and a short-film version. - Film stripboard template
A printable film stripboard with the standard colour code: a one-line strip sheet, a board layout to print on card and cut apart, and an Excel stripboard that colours its own rows. - Shot list template
A shot list laid out the way a shoot day runs: grouped by scene, numbered by shot and setup, with size, lens, movement, angle, camera and an estimate of the time each setup takes. - Floor plan and lighting plan template
An overhead plan sheet for blocking and lighting: a squared grid, a north arrow and scale, and a symbol key for cameras, lights, flags, dolly track, actors, walls, doors, windows and power. - Day out of days template
A day out of days chart: every cast member against every date, with the standard codes and the totals production and payroll need, counted for you in the workbook. - Script breakdown sheet template
One breakdown sheet per scene, with the scene header and a colour-keyed box for every category, so each element underlined in the script has a place to go. - Location scout report template
A two-page location scout report: everything the production needs to know about a place on the front, photos and an overhead sketch on the back.
In every set
A print PDF, a fillable PDF where it helps, an Excel workbook with working formulas that also opens in Google Sheets, the same workbook as an Apple Numbers file, and a sample filled in for an invented short film. Every file prints black on white on US Letter. Downloads are direct: no account and no email address.
